Smartboards
The first slide of my SMART Board is just what the lesson is called and a few things that we will be doing during this lesson. The teacher will use the magic pen to draw a circle around the topic and it will zoom out to make it the only thing you can see. In the second slide there are red and purple balls that they will be adding together, the students will move the balls in the box underneath the words, red balls and purple balls. Once the students do that they can touch the board in front of the words and it will reveal the number of balls. In the third slide, the teacher will use the magic pen to show the students how to tally in the boxes underneath the words, yellow balls and green balls. This will disappear and the students will write in regular pen to tally their answers. They will then click the board in front of the words and the number of balls will show up. In the forth slide, the students will just be moving the numbers under odd or even. In the last and final slide the students will first guess how many sides there are to the shape and then later click in the middle of the shapes to reveal the number.
I like that there are multiple things you can do with each different subject area for the students to learn. Although I did not do too difficult ideas to my SMART board, this is all I could do and I would like to learn more from other classmates. I would like to try this with my younger students when I am a teacher and try a jeopardy game with my older students. I did this is high school and I enjoyed it.
