Before class and learning a little bit about this topic I had no idea what digital citizenship was. I know digital is showing numbers that value something and citizenship is having the right to be is a country or state. Putting these two words together I had no idea what it was or how teachers can use it in the classroom. Some things that I am curious about are where I can use this in the classroom when I become a teacher. Also, how will students use this is the real world when working with other people. Hopefully looking through the resources that I have and learning from other people, my questions will be answered.
When preparing for class I learned the actual definition of digital citizenship. It is a concept where teachers, students, parents, or anyone learn about appropriate and responsible use of technology. Teachers teach students how to be responsible when online. For instance if one of the students is in a chat room and someone asks for their real name and where they live, the students will learn this not appropriate for people we do not know. There are multiple other examples that I could use for this but that is one of the basics. When being a teacher you have to teach children how to be responsible and how to be safe when using the computer. Since technology is being introduced to children so young, teachers have the responsibility in teaching students about how to be safe and responsible on the Internet. They should also be taught how to use the Internet in a safe and friendly way, not only by teachers but by their parents as well. "What Your Students Really Need to Know About Digital Citizenship." Edutopia. N.p., 24 Oct. 2014. Web. 30 Nov. 2015. On this website it shows you as a teacher what you should talk to your students about with digital citizenship. It talks about passwords, privacy, personal informational, photos, property, permission, professionalism, and personal brand. Under each of those there is a small description of what teachers could have students do and learn about. This would be a good website for teachers to use as an outline of what they would like to teach their students. It gives you great information on how to address this to the students. "5 Ways You Should Integrate Digital Citizenship Into Your Classes." TeachHUB. N.p., n.d. Web. 30 Nov. 2015. On this website it gives you five different ways you can use digital citiszenhip in the classroom. The five steps to digital citizenship is use an LMS, model good citizenship, connect and collaborate, use google apps, and maintain balance. Under each of these tips, there is a summary of how you can use this in the classroom with the students. This would be a good website for a teacher to use to see what ways he or she can integrate this into the classroom. It also lets you see that a teacher has already been using this in her classroom; so using this in the classroom wouldn’t be a bad idea. In class this week I learned the eight different things you need to know about digital citizenship. Each group was assigned a different topic and they were supposed to teach the class what each of them was about. Each group did a great job at explaining what each of them were and did a video to teach the class. One of the groups that I enjoyed learning from was the Literacy and Creative Credit and Copyright. They talked about how each of these are about the same, but literacy explains the ability for students to notice where a certain topic was created. There are search engines in each of these and it can be used for educational purposes. Each site gives you if it is a trusted site or not. There was a lot of plagiarism in the school setting. It can be a big problem in schools, but if each student learns about it then they will be able to learn more about how to not plagiarize. Cyber bullying is something that teachers should talk about with their class. A lot of children can be cyber bullied from other students. When discussing with the students you should talk about what is it, how people do it, and how to handle it if it is happening with you. Everything I learned from other students will be good to teach my future class. My understandings about digital citizenship changed because before I didn’t know what it was. Preparing for class and learning more about this through resources I was able to get a different understanding of this. I believe that teaching digital citizenship would be good in the classroom because it teaches the students ways to be safe while on the Internet. It also can teach students the do’s and don’ts of using the Internet. I think having a lesson on this in the classroom will be great for the classroom and having the students learn different things about digital citizenship.

Before class I thought that using social media sites for the classroom was interesting. But I also think that social media sites should be for upper grades. The younger students I feel like wouldn’t be able to use it like it should be. I would like to research more on how a teacher could use this in the classroom with younger elementary students. Some things that I am curious about how and when I can use this in the classroom, will the students be able to understand it or will there parents not agree with teachers using it. How will each student access looking at the social media sites. These are a few things that I question and hopefully through preparing for class and going to class I will be able to answer these questions.
Some things I learned through preparing for class was different ways to use social media in the classroom. Like tweeting about upcoming due dates or assignments, provide the class with a running news feed; coordinate assignments, and multiple more. I looked at some pros and cons of why using social media would be a good idea in the classroom. I learned that it is easier than everyone thinks. Children know how to use technology because they are accustomed to it. I learned that using social media could help students engage with other students while practicing a certain subject. "5 Pros and Cons of Social Media in the Classroom for Educational Use." School Is Easy Tutoring. N.p., 21 Feb. 2014. Web. 16 Nov. 2015. On this website they talk about the pros and cons of using social media in the classroom. It gives you five pros and five cons while giving a definition on what they mean exactly. Some pros they wrote were, can increase collaboration, encourage participation, useful for homework help, shares resources quickly, and keeps everyone on the same page. Some cons they list are, can be distractive, improper ways to use social media, it lessens human interaction, cyber bullies, and content may be inappropriate. It is good for people who are unsure if they want to use social media in the classroom. It discusses if they should use social media. It is useful for more information about what is good and bad. "50 Ways to Use Twitter in the Classroom." TeachHUB. N.p., n.d. Web. 16 Nov. 2015. On this website they talk about multiple different ways to use twitter in the classroom. Some of the things they talk about are, tweet about due dates, coordinate assignments, follow issues and then discuss, facilitate research, and multiple more. This website is able to give teachers fifty ways to use twitter in the classroom. Then they would be able to accommodate this into their classroom. It is very useful because it was able to give multiple different ways to use twitter in the classroom and gave a little description about each. During class I was able to further my knowledge on social media in the classroom. I knew how to use each social media site that we were talking about in class but I still had some questions that my classmates were all able to help me with. I was in the Twitter group and my classmates wanted to create a site and create a poll and have people retweet some of the things that students would like to see. Twitter is great to write a short paragraph of information to let people know. Through Twitter students will be able to see this information and direct message a teacher when they have questions. Facebook is a good website to get information to students but there is a problem with ads that the students could get distracted by. When it comes to Instagram the only thing you really could use it for is taking a picture of something and writing information for the students too see. I think this social media site would be better for non-school related things. My understanding about social media hasn’t completely changed throughout preparing for class and learning more about this topic. I think that using social media in class would be helpful for some things and not helpful for other things. Using Twitter to take a poll or have a discussion would be great. Having Facebook connect with students and their parents is good because in my high school teachers did that when we went on a trip to Italy and Greece. But I don’t think Instagram would be useful in the classroom when teaching. I think there are always good and bad things about each site. Depending on what grade level I teach, I would decide what social media to use. Before coming to class I didn’t have any clue at what personalized learning was. I could put two and two together that it is learning through some sort of personalized way. I thought it had something to do with teaching students in a way that they can learn through what they like or in different ways of learning instead of lecturing. I don’t know the exact definition of personalized learning or what ways I could use it in the elementary setting. Some things that I am curious about is what the definition of personalized learning is, how can I use this in the elementary classroom, and how do you assess the students. I think once I prepare for class and sit in class with my classmates a lot of my questions will be answered.
When preparing for class I was able to watch a video from YouTube that I got to explain what personalized learning was. I also got to watch the videos that my classmates explained. When looking at the resources my teacher left me I was able to learn more ways to use this in the classroom, ways it can be useful in the classroom, and what accommodations I can use for each student. Preparing for class helped me learn more about personalized learning and helped me be able to talk to my classmates about what I learned. Howton, Robyn. "Turn Your Classroom into a Personalized Learning Environment." ISTE. N.p., n.d. Web. 09 Nov. 2015. https://www.iste.org/explore/articleDetail?articleid=416&category=In-the-classroom&article= On this website it gives you the definition of what personalized learning is. It gives you five reasons of what personalized learning is like, learn from others, use the technology you have, let the students make choices, choose the best content delivery method, and assess as you go. It also talks about ways you can pull all this together. I believe this is a good website because it gives you a clear definition of what personalized learning is, ways to use it in the classroom, and how to tie it all together in the classroom. "Personalized Learning Definition." The Glossary of Education Reform. N.p., 15 May 2013. Web. 09 Nov. 2015. http://edglossary.org/personalized-learning/ On this website it gives you the definition of what personalized learning is, examples of ways teachers have used personalized learning in their classroom, and discusses debates that this topic will have with certain topics. I think this is a good website for teachers that want to know more about personalized learning. It also gives you examples of ways to used personalized learning in the classroom. And it also gives you debates that may come out when talking about personalized learning. Some things I learned about this week in class was what personalized learning was and different ways I could use this in the classroom that I didn’t think of. I learned about accommodations that I could use when teaching to the students in my classroom. Working together with my group we talked about ways personalized learning is like a flipped classroom. Using personalized learning can help the students in the long run. Not every student is average so we shouldn’t accommodate to things that are average. We need to accommodate to students that need different ways of learning. No one learns the same way and using personalized learning gives students the way they like to learn. My understandings about this topic changed throughout the learning process. In the beginning I didn’t think that this was a successful way to teach children. Making a different lesson plan for each student may be a little excessive. But after researching a little bit more about this I thought it was a good idea to use in the classroom. Every student should learn about a subject in a way that they are comfortable with and can learn a subject through that learning. I believe that I will use this in my classroom when I become a teacher. Before coming to class I knew a couple things about what a flipped class was. I knew that it was different from a normal classroom. I knew that you taught the subject over a video and had the class watch it before class the next day. In my last year of high school a couple of teachers of mine tried this for math class. I never had math this way but my friends did. They told me that the teacher would put a video up of what they were learning and then come to class the next day and get help from the teacher. Some things I am curious about are if you can teach all subjects in this way, what happens if the students do not have Internet access, and what if the students do not understand the lesson being taught online.
Through my preparation for class I learned a little bit more about ways to use a flipped classroom. I was able to see how they would teach a flipped class and how the students like it. Also, I was able to see different ways the teacher can accommodate to students who do not have Internet access. Preparing for class I was able to view different videos that showed me all different uses of flipped classrooms. Once I found a video that I thought was good for my other classmates to watch, I shared the link and answered a couple of questions about it. These questions had me thinking about what ways I would use this for my classroom, why flipping the classroom was good, and examples of what I could use for my classroom. Berrett D. "Center for Teaching." Center for Teaching. N.p., n.d. Web. 02 Nov. 2015. https://cft.vanderbilt.edu/guides-sub-pages/flipping-the-classroom/ On this website people are able to see what the definition is of flipped classrooms, how it works, the theoretical basis, the key elements of a flipped classroom, and where you can learn more. I think this would be a good website because it gives you an actual definition of what it is and key elements of a flipped classroom. It also gives you different resources that you can use. This would be a good website for people that want to know more about flipped classrooms. Educause. "Seven Things You Should Know About Flipping Classrooms." PsycEXTRA Dataset (2008): n. pag. Web. https://net.educause.edu/ir/library/pdf/eli7081.pdf On this website people are able to see seven things that they should know about flipped classrooms. It tells you what it is, how does it work, who is all doing it, why it is significant, what are some disadvantages, where is it going, and what implications teachers should use. I think this is a good website because although it tells you the definition of a flipped classroom it also tells you disadvantages. Also, it gives you examples of implications for teaching and learning. Some things that I learned in class this week was different ways you can take a video and have the students watch it. When video taping you can either have some tape it for you, use the SMART board, use ShowMe, and multiple other ways. Also, I learned that putting a link to your video is a lot harder than I thought. Making sure the video pops up in the same window as the instructions is better than having it open in a different window. This way the students do not lose the instructions. I learned that working together can get things done in a more timely fashion. Having one person help you video tape your lessons is always fast and easy. I learned that flipping the classroom can help student success. Throughout this process my understandings changed a little bit and then went back to what I thought before. In the beginning I didn’t know exactly what it was but thought that teaching a subject is easier in the classroom for younger students. Older students can use a flipped classroom easier. After learning more about it, it made me change my mind a little bit. I thought the videos could be used in elementary classrooms because other teachers did it. But changed my mind again when I learned how hard it is to put videos up and how Internet access could be a problem. I learned that I will probably not use the flipped classroom for my comfort. I believe teaching lessons during class and then getting work time is how an elementary teacher should teach. Also how I will teach in the future with my classroom. Before looking at LMS/Schoology I had no idea what it was or when I would use it in the classroom or by myself. I figured it had something to do with learning through technology, but then again everything we talk about in this class is learning through technology. Some things I am curious about is where to use this in the classroom, how to teach the students about it, and if it is easy to understand. I also would like to know if a lot of teachers use this in their classroom on a regular basis. Hopefully through preparing for class and working with classmates I will be able to learn what this is and when to use it.
When I prepared for class I learned what schoology was and all the things you can add when using this website. When I signed up for this I wasn’t sure if I would be able to work on this on my own. Just looking at the website was a little scary, it overwhelmed me. After looking at the videos Helen provided I was able to understand things a bit more and I worked through adding materials to the website. I was able to do the simple things when adding the material. Schoology. "Video: How to Use Schoology as a Teacher." Schoology Support. N.p., n.d. Web. 26 Oct. 2015. https://support.schoology.com/hc/en-us/articles/201002663-Video-How-to-use-Schoology-as-a-teacher On this website it shows you a fifteen minute video about how to use Schoology as a teacher. It gives you helpful tips and shows you how to use it if you are not sure how. I think this is a good website because if you are new to the website it can help you with showing you hands on. It can give you good advice and show you different ways you can use the website that you never thought you could use. Teachers Hub. "Schoology: A Learning Management System Overview." TeachHUB. N.p., n.d. Web. 26 Oct. 2015. http://www.teachhub.com/schoology-learning-management-system-overview On this website it tells you what the definition of schoology is, what advantages there are by using this, and helpful tips for people. This website even says how it is a Learning Management System (LMS). Since we are talking about LMS I thought this would be a good website to use. I think this website is good because it gives you an actual definition of what schoology is. It shows you multiple ways this is a good thing to use in the classroom. And also it gives you limitations when using this and helpful tips while using this website. Things I learned in class this week was how to use the schoology website. Before class I had some things done but did not have them done to the best of my ability. When coming to class we were able to work on it on our own and see how far we could get. During this time we were also able to work with group members. The people in my group were able to help me with what to add and how to make certain materials better on my website. After working through each material in the website I thought it was not as hard as I thought I was. If I were a teacher I would be able to use this to teach my students all different subjects. I learned working together is always better than being stuck by yourself. When one of my classmates looked at my website and took the quiz, it was not available. She was able to help me make it available so people would be able to take the quiz. My understandings and thinking about this topic changed because when I was by myself working on it I thought it was hard. After I worked on it with a small group I did not think it was hard at all. As long as you have the material, you can create anything you would like. The hardest part of this was thinking of what to put on the website to make it look like a teacher would be able to use this. I think working in a group was fun and also helpful. It was helpful because each classmate would give me an idea that would help me figure out the website and how to make it better than it was. When I first looked at this topic, I thought to myself “I know what collaboration means but I don’t know what exactly collaboration tools mean.” For some reason I was thinking that maybe this was something like with the chrome books, laptops, and iPads. They are tools that you can use in the classroom that can help you all collaborate together. Some things that I would like to know are when can I integrate these in the classroom and what they are just in general. Also, if they need Wi-Fi how will all my students to able to access them outside of school.
Some things that I learned through preparing for class was actually understanding what collaboration tools are. Looking at the list of websites teachers and students can sign up for, I had never heard of several of them. After clicking on the link and looking at the websites I was able to understand what collaborating tools were. I learned there are multiple different websites that the students can learn from. One of the websites I enjoyed was ThingLink, this website had interesting ways to show students how to learn. Looking at the examples of what one teacher did with South Africa made me want to do this with my future classroom . Tech, Emerging Ed. "Awesome Free Ed Tech Resources EBook!" Emerging Education Technologies RSS. N.p., n.d. Web. 20 Oct. 2015. On this website they give you a list of collaboration websites that teachers and students can use during the day. Under each website they give you a description of what each website has to offer. This is a good website because it shows several different websites that a person would never think was a collaboration tool. For instance, Minecraft is considered a collaboration tools. "Collaborative Tools." Cooltoolsforschools -. N.p., n.d. Web. 20 Oct. 2015. On this website they present you with a list of collaboration websites that teachers and students can use. This website gives you links to these websites, that way you can go right to the website. Each website has a description of what the website is used for. I believe this is a good website because it gives you multiple different websites and gives you links that go right to them. Some things that I learned in class were how to use the different websites that we signed up for. Although I explored some before class there were a couple of ones that I hadn’t looked at. For example ThingLink, I didn’t have time to explore this website before class and during class one of my classmates showed me what they came up with. I thought ThingLink was a great website to show students information in a special way. The classmate that showed me her ThingLink gave our group great information about how to do certain things. The example she gave was phenomenal is giving student information about seals in California. During our group work we were able to do hands on learning and looking at the websites. We had to look at several different websites and do what our students would do if we had this. It was interesting because each of us had to do something we had never done before. My understanding of this topic changed from the beginning because at first I had no idea what this topic was about. After preparing for class and doing hands on activities in the classroom, I was able to understand most of the websites and what they have to offer. Learning from different group members was helpful because we were able to bounce ideas off of each other and learn how to do different things. Doing hands on showed me how important this is when teaching. When we were in groups and were able to do things on the websites I was able to see how hands on activities can help students learn better. This week was probably the most fun because we were able to interact with groups and interact with websites. Before coming to class this week I had a pretty good idea of what devices you can use in and out of the classroom. A couple of things I knew about devices were the common ones like iPads, laptops, and computers. For example, I volunteered in a classroom and they were able to use iPads during a certain time in the day. Practicing reading, math, and writing. I never went into detail about each of these devices but I knew a few things about them that I would be able to use with students. While going through this topic there were a few things I was curious about, like what happens if students do not have internet at home, how do you know if the students are using it outside of school, and what if it breaks or gets stolen. Although those questions might not be answered during class they are something I am curious about. Things I learned through my preparation for class was learning other devices you can use for your classroom. Also, the resources that were given gave me information about certain devices that were helpful. There were resources that gave me steps to take for implementing a successful device into the classroom. There were resources for using certain devices that would give tips for being successful. "IPads in the Classroom - Kathy Schrock's IPads4teaching." IPads in the Classroom - Kathy Schrock's IPads4teaching. N.p., n.d. Web. 05 Oct. 2015. http://www.ipads4teaching.net/ipads-in-the-classroom.html On this website it gives your reasons to use iPads in the classroom and for teaching. It gives you multiple links to other websites that give you information about iPads. Also, this website is great because it gives you apps to download on your iPad. Activities, tutorials, things for special education, classroom resources, video presentations, and slide shows are a few things you can use to find information about iPads. "Apps in the Elementary Classroom." Edutopia. N.p., n.d. Web. 05 Oct. 2015. http://www.edutopia.org/blog/apps-elementary-classroom-mary-beth-hertz On this website it gives information about what the role is of apps in the classroom, what it does to bring apps to the classroom, the cost, and resources for educational apps. I believe this website shows you multiple resources and explains why devices in the classroom are good. Things that I learned in class this week was what other devices I can use in the classroom setting, like the chromebook. I learned how much of an impact devices can have on students when learning. Using these devices give the students a different way to practice math, reading, writing, and multiple more subjects. I learned about the advantages and disadvantages about each device that we looked at in class. I learned about what ways a device could be accessed for the classroom and the students. There is a lot of time and money that comes with having these devices in the classroom. The teachers all have to be able to use the device to show the students how to use them. Collaborating with other people is essential when deciding what device to get, why to get it, and will it be useful for the students. Before coming to class I had no idea what UDL and accessibility was, what it is best used for, or when to use it. I knew they both had something to do with teaching to students but I had no idea other than that. This topic sounds kind of complicated when just reading the names. Some things that I am curious about are when to use both of these topics. How to use them that is effective and when is the best time to use them. I want to be able to know a lot of details about these two topics so I can apply it to my teaching in the future.
Things I learned through my preparation for class was learning the definition of UDL. UDL is a set of principles for curriculum that gives all individuals equal opportunities to learn. I learned that UDL is necessary for individuals to bring a variety of skills, needs, and interests to learning. For accessibility I learned that things you use to teach, everyone must be able to access these things otherwise you cannot teach that certain topic. "Universal Design for Learning and Assistive Technology." ECTACenter.org: The Early Childhood Techincal Assistance Center: Improving Systems, Practices and Outcomes for Young Children with Disabilities and Their Families. N.p., n.d. Web. 28 Sept. 2015. http://ectacenter.org/topics/atech/udl.asp In this article it explains what UDL is and gives you great online tool kits, articles, and books that you can click on and look at. This website also shows you national centers that explain what they do at this organization and how it is helping students and teachers. This is a good website because it gives you information about UDL and gives you multiple other resources that can help you expand on this topic. "What Is Accessibility?" What Is Accessibility? N.p., n.d. Web. 28 Sept. 2015. http://www.adobe.com/accessibility/gettingstarted.html In this article it explains what accessibility is and defines what disabilities are. It gives you multiple assistive technologies to use when you are teaching. This article explains to you why it is important to have this. This website is good if you want to know about accessibility and what ways to use technology with students that have disabilities. Things that I learned in class this week were what UDL and accessibility is in a more in-depth way. Drawing on the SMART board, interactive learning, and practice along with the teaching on iPads can help students with disabilities to see information in a way that helps students with different teaching methods. In groups we talked about different barriers there are when teaching students with different learning needs. If the student is blind, partner work or audio is helpful. Sign language and visual examples can help with deaf people. Modeling is a great way for teaching to keep the students interacted in the lesson. I learned that you have to teach different ways to keep the students interested in a way that they like to be taught. You cannot just give a slide show presentation and expect everyone to learn from that way. After learning more about these topics I understand how I can use this when I am teaching in the future. I learned that be prepared for class is an essential way to understand what you will be discussing. Also, collaborating with other classmates can give you ideas that you can use when you are teaching in the future. Before class, I had no idea about what copyright, fair use, or curation tools. I thought that curation was a hard shortcut to figure out. The only thing I knew about copyright was it was a legal right given to a company or person who has permission to print their logo, for example. Before going to class we were told to look at some curation tools, like Evernote. I knew that it was gathering and discovering content about a certain subject that you think is important. Some things that I am curious about are what it takes to have a copyright on a certain item, what fair use is, and what other apps or websites are curations.
Some things I learned through my preparation for class was how Pinterest was a curation; I never would have guessed it was. I learned through preparation how easy it is to use the Evernote Clipper. If you find any article about something you liked you can click the clipper and it will save under a folder you make and you can look back at it later. I found out through a classmate that the app, on the iPhone, called News is also a curation. You can sort through things you want to read and save the articles for later. Things I learned was what the definition for curation is, it is gathering information and bookmarking it in a folder and saving it for later. There are multiple cites that are considered curations, I have put a link below to show what websites are curations and why it is good to use them. Fair use is a legal concept that allows a video that is copyrighted to be shown without paying a fee and their permission. I learned that owning a movie and showing it to your class during school is going against the fair use. I find this interesting since, you bought the movie and should be able to show it no matter if it is your classroom or house. Copyright is a protection property, which protects the holder’s right to sell, display, license, perform or reproduce the work in question. "Content Curation Tools: The Ultimate List." Content Marketing Forum. N.p., n.d. Web. 23 Sept. 2015. http://www.curata.com/blog/content-curation-tools-the-ultimate-list/ This website is good to look at because it gives the definitions of curation, the purpose of it, and a long list of curation tools and an explanation of what each one does and what it is. There are a lot of curation tools that I have never heard of. This will help you widen your horizon of curation tools you can use. "Fair Use of Copyrighted Materials." Fair Use of Copyrighted Materials. N.p., n.d. Web. 23 Sept. 2015. http://copyright.lib.utexas.edu/copypol2.html This website is good to look at because it explains in detail what fair use is and steps you needs to take when getting a fair use and copyright. This would be good to learn more about it and if you are looking for copyright and fair use of an item. I learned from class this week is always do research before class and after to fully understand what is being discussed in class. Collaborating with others and working together is something that is going to be a huge part in understanding what is being discussed. Ask questions as often as you need to be sure to understand what to do. Before learning more about SMART boards there were a few things that I knew already. Some things were being able to write on the board and switching to different pen, using the eraser, and being able to make a several different slides. I learned how to do these things when I was in high school. Most of my teachers had SMART boards and they would let us use them in class. Although I only know the just of the SMART board there are a couple things I would like to know how to do. For instance, I would like to know how to hide a word or sentence and only be able to see it when you put a magnified glass over it. Also, having a picture and then clicking it and having another picture show up behind it. Even though that’s only a couple of things I am curious about, there are multiple more and cannot wait to see what my classmates will teach me.
As I made my slides to show to my other classmates, I realized I did not know as much as I should. I realized I did not have as much experience in this field and should learn more about it before doing something that involves this topic. The simple things that I know how to do are easier to me but the more complex things I will have to learn from other people. One of my classmates, Amy, had an interesting lesson that she downloaded. She went through it and showed a group of us some things that I had never seen before. Some things that she should us were having one picture and clicking it and turns to another. Hiding a message or sentence and using a magnify glass to see the answer. Her lesson had all kinds of different ideas I have never seen before. When researching I found a website that gives you multiple ideas to use when using a SMART board. http://www.rce.k12tn.net/smartboard/smart%20board%20tools.htm "Smart Board Took Kit 2." Smart Board Took Kit 2. N.p., n.d. Web. 15 Sept. 2015. http://www.willoughbyeastlake.k12.oh.us/classroom/technology/smart%20board%20took%20kit%20-%20new.htm This website gives your ideas and downloads to use for your SMART board and to teach a lesson to your children. It gives you multiple examples with different grade levels and subject types. I think it would be a great tool to use if you are ever stuck on what lesson to do. "SMART Board Resources." SMART Board Resources. N.p., n.d. Web. 15 Sept. 2015. http://www1.center.k12.mo.us/edtech/SB/SB.html This website just like the other gives you SMART board ideas, templates ideas, tips for your SMART board, and sites to get you started. There are multiple more things you can look at on this website too. I think this would be great tool for getting tips if you have problems with your SMART board and need ideas for a lesson. What I learned from class this week is to always ask questions to the teacher or to classmates. If you had trouble with something maybe another person didn’t. Collaborating with others and working together is something that is going to be a huge part in my profession as a teacher. My understanding about the topic changed throughout the process because I realized I didn’t know as much about this topic as I thought I did. I had challenges with constructing my lesson to show the class and wasn’t sure on how to do some things, but talking with classmates I started to understand what I was trying to do. |
