Digital Citizenship is a concept where teachers, students, parents, and anyone that uses technology about appropriate and responsible use of technology. By the end of learning this topic, the students will learn and do’s and don’ts of using the Internet.
Some things that I could use in the classroom with digital citizenship would be having the students act out scenes of situations where something might happen. For example you could have a student pretend to cyber bully someone else. Once they do this I could talk to the students about how to stop this and who to talk to. Another situation could be have a student pretend someone asked for their name, where they live, and what age they are. I could talk about different ways to handle this and how to make safe decisions on the Internet.
I might involve the parents and family by sending home a newsletter explaining what this is and what the students learned. I could also add websites like what we played before class to teach the children about digital citizenship. This way the parents and the children can learn together and have fun while doing it.

The first picture is from the website that my professor Helen gave us to explore before class. It is great for information about digital citizenship and having fun while doing it. The games are very interactive and as a teacher I would use these games and have the students practice with their family too.
The second picture is from a website that I searched for when looking up digital citizenship. This game follows a cyberbullying film "Let's Fight It Together", which enforces learning from the film about digital citizenship. The student will be able to make decision as the main character, Joe. Joe experiences cyberbullying and you are able to be him. This would be a great website for students to go through cyberbullying to see the effects and how someone can deal with it.
